A Trip Through the Nordic Region: August 17 - August 29, 2020

We worked together with the National Nordic Museum in Seattle to develop a tour that focuses on the best museums in
Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki.  This tour visits the four largest Nordic cities and there will be no long days
on the coach. Transportation between the cities will be by overnight cruises from Copenhagen-Oslo and
Stockholm-Helsinki as well as a flight from Oslo to Stockholm. The tour will be hosted by the Director of the Museum and
a Professor of Scandinavian Studies, who will give three lectures during the trip. We will provide the tour manager. For
booking and more information, please go the Museum's website

5. Norway Knitting Tour
Knitting Tours to Norway and Estonia/Latvia  Fall 2021

We have previously done two very successful knitting tours for Battenkill Fibers - Norway in 2017 and Denmark in 2019.
We are now doing the ground work for two knitting tours in 2021. Each will be about a week long and it will be possible to
join them together for a two-week tour.

The first tour will be to Norway, where we will tweak our 2017 tour to make it even better. The second will be to Estonia
and Latvia, two countries with a very strong knitting tradition. We haven't chosen the exact dates yet, but both tours will
likely be in October, 2021. If you would like to get information about these tours when available, you can sign up for the
Battenkill 'Fibers newsletter by
sending an email to Mary Jeanne Packer,
